I don't get the whole pride thing in general. I didn't ask to be born a white female and I'm not proud to be white or a female. I'm not proud to be heterosexual or anything else. They're just who I am. I didn't do anything to achieve this. They're not an accomplishment they're just who I am. 

If I'm proud of anything it's goals I've reached in life and they have nothing to do with my race, my sex, or anything else of the kind. 

I know there are plenty of folks to do take pride in these things and more power to them I suppose, but I just don't get it.

I'm not attempting to serve or propagate  the concept of "pride" from any group. 

I was just pointing out the flaw in a post. 

Discrimination sucks, but it's a human flaw that we'll probably never rid ourselves of. Whites feeling discrimination is just a new cycle in the ever evolving social landscape as our society homogenizes and shifts in minority percentages. 
They sure do love to whine and complain about it around here, though.   LOL

I've had more issues with sexism than discrimination. Being a white female in the south is not for the feint of heart because many southern men sure do think they're God's gift to you and they let you know it every chance they get. And if you try to set them straight even in a nice way they get pretty cranky. I'm always nice until I'm not and when I'm not.....

Thankful I don't have to deal with this crap very much anymore. I guess not being in my 20s and 30s anymore has benefits. That, and I've perfected the RBF look.
