I feel you, if it were my call i'd probably at least give him one drive.. but an injury in the preseason would throw our season away sooo I can't blame them if they don't play him again.

An injury in the first regular season game would torch our season too but I don’t think you can play (or not play) worrying about injuries. I wouldn’t play him because I don’t think he really needs it and the regular season is long and hopefully we’ll get some games in the postseason. Rest him while you can.
