• Erick Hallett - I'm least confident about this one.  In fact, I'm more likely wrong than right.  I think the odds are nearly even between Erick Hallet, Christian Braswell, Montaric Brown and Tevaughn Campbell.  Brown is the incumbent but played very sparingly last year.  Hallet and Braswell are late round picks.  Braswell missed some time, so I feel Hallet is ahead, but that could easily change.  Braswell started off the first pre-season game rough, but then made a big play with an interception.  Tevaughn Campbell plays solidly but seems to have limited upside.  I prefer someone with more potential, but if the team feels the other players will make the practice squad anyway, I could see the Jaguars taking Campbell if they think he's the most effective player right now.  This is a tough call.
  

I don't think Chris Claybrooks makes the team.  He's not a very good cornerback.  Claybrooks has been in the league for 3 years, so I don't think he's going to start magically improving now.  He's also no longer needed as a backup returner.  It appears Parker Washington will handle backup return duties and the Jaguars also added D'Ernest Johnson this offseason.  Claybrooks only hope to make the team is as a gunner, but I don't think that will be enough.  We have other options who play special teams that give us much better value if they are forced to actually play cornerback.  When you factor Claybrooks' off-the-field issues, his exit is likely.

Good breakdown of the secondary. The last two pre-season games will likely determine whether Brown, Hallett, Braswell or T. Campbell will make the 53 man roster. I hope Hallett or Braswell step up and take the last spot.
