They can put Fatukasi in the middle for that stuff.  (if he's healthy!)

Hamilton is more effective as NT in pass sets. 

That is where he excelled last year at moving the pocket and winning his one on ones. 
He had the best pass pro win rate of all the Jags IDLs last year.

For me, stopping the run isn't as important as creating pressure on passing downs from the middle. The tacks had the best rush defense in the league last year and look where it got them. They got torched in the passing game. 

The Jags will likely be in more than a few shootouts this year and they need to pressure the QB. Not too worried about Richardson, Stroud or Ridder in the first 4 weeks but obviously worried about Mahomes.

Then they play Josh Allen in week 5. Hopefully he is back for that game.
