He references coaching input when asked about Walker in two different post draft interviews, and two more since then.
I feel fine taking that for what it is.

Were you on vacation before that draft? There were ample reports that Baalke was high on Walker and that there was a difference of opinion at the top. Below is a sampling. After Walker was picked, they all said the right things about being on the same page.

Also, Tony Pauline, Vic Ketchman’s go-to draft pundit, reported that Khan, Baalke and Pederson had a meeting of the minds before the draft to get on the same page.
