Some wacky calls, sure, but nothing too crazy.  I think Doug has stayed involved today anyway. He's busy talking on comms nearly every time they show him.

I'm willing to give the OC the benefit of the doubt that he can grow into the position.  But I'm sorry.  He was calling plays like Hacket for all of the 3rd Quarter and most of the second.  It was Run Run Pass.  And there was no creativity like we'd seen last year.  It was a pedestrain play calling game. 

This offense, especially because of the lack of dawgs on the O-Line can just telegraph what's coming.  There needs to be a lot of misdirection and off yardage plays that keep the defense guessing.  This was not a good performance by the O-Line.  But the fact that the OC was calling basic plays on obvious downs helped absolutely no-one.

Let's see what happens next week.  Maybe we were play calling conservatively because of next week's match up.  But if this is how Press is going to call a game, it's just not going to be good enough when you consider the issues with our O-Line.
