The cop who shot that poor woman was the last line of defense between an angry mob of lunatics and lawmakers. 
This rabble were chanting that they were going to hang Mike Pence and included at least three different militia groups present exchanging plans on openly monitored channels that they were going to kidnap lawmakers that day. 

You can keep burying your head in the sand and calling these idiots "tourists" or whatever - but many were not that at all. The evidence is plain - and that poor woman got EXACTLY what was coming to her for thinking she could interfere with the certification of a fairly accounted election. 

That cop did his job by protecting OUR elected officials from a violent rabble of rioters and domestic terrorists. 

They let them advance as far they could without lethal force until there was only one line left to breach. 
And they had no choice but to do this because of the sheer numbers of rioters vs officers. 

Also - tons of misdemeanors without felonies were charged after that day. 
I'm surprised they bothered with Epps at all, I only posted it because of all of the idiotic conspiracies ppl tried to cook up around that clown in this forum. You have to look at each case individually.

I think the thing most "not right" here is your complete blindness to the reality of what happened.

Pretend for a moment there is no Trump.  Pretend you do not know party affiliation.  100% completely objective.  There are a lot of things that can be objectively questionable.  100% the conservative’s are reaching and 100% the never Trumper’s refuse to see oddities.  The truth lies somewhere in the middle.

• Rioters made up of several dozen actual domestic terrorists, a few freak show bad people, a large number of useful idiots who believed a lie and got really riled up by it, and a few hundred bystanders that got swept up in the moment,  assaulted American police officers in order to trespass into a federal building where our election was being certified
  
• 140 officers (80 cap police, 60 metro) experienced some degree of assault by the 3,500 or so rioters, roughly 2,000 of which actually entered the building. 
  
• When a group of them finally got close enough to lawmakers to inflict harm - lethal force was used after instructions failed
  
• The most organized among these rioters had plans in place for several days and all of this has been hashed out in dozens of articles and publicly available court records. 
  These group's goals included intent to kidnap lawmakers, make demands about the election results after taking hostages, and some even openly discussed killing certain lawmakers. The FBI didn't coerce them to do it. Antifa didn't trick them. They thought the election was stolen (when it wasn't) and they decided to attempt some crackpot insurrection.
