1010XL the new flagship home of the Jaguars?

99.9 on the FM side.

Also interesting. TV switching from 47 to WJXT 4 "The Local Station".

On the TV side, I think it is very good news. Not a huge Kouvaris fan but I always think WJXT puts out a quality product, especially considering they have no network affiliation. CBS47 always comes across as very low rent. And let's be honest, they have fudged up quite a few things in the past. Playing Cheers instead of a preseason game. Cutting off a Jaguar regular season game in the second half. Blaming it on national CBS when it was actually their error. The whole Steve Wrigley/Tebow incident. A definite upgrade. Maybe the End Zone will return.

It's interesting, but going to an all sports station for the AM broadcasts does make sense.  Still, the signal is the issue.  When WOKV took over the old Rock 105 104.5 on the dial, they acquired the most powerful FM signal in the region.  That's a footprint that broadcasts up to Brunswick, west of Lake City, and south to Daytona.  99.9 should give a decent signal locally, but they won't be as broadly heard.  It's a big loss for WOKV.

On the TV side, bravo!  CBS47 was truly minor league when it came to the quality and reliability of the preseason game broadcasts.  I think WJXT will do a better job of putting a quality product out there.  But, now we have to deal with Sam Kouvaris.

I wonder what this means for Sexton, Lageman, and Boselli?  It sounds like they will be evaluated, and a determination will be made on the broadcast team between the team and the media partners.  Throw a truckload of money at local boy, Gene Deckerhoff to lure him away from Tampa, and let's move on.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
