As a pure DE, only required to rush the passer. Correct. As an overall player? No. Nowhere nearly as good as Allen.

Keep in mind. I wanted Allen traded last year before the deadline. Prior to the season turning around.

Allen helped seal our deal in beating the tacks in week 17 to clinch the division. I would rather have him now than not have him.

Especially given the fact that Baalke has failed miserably in drafting anybody comparable to him or outright better.

At the minimum. You tag him in 2024. Would be foolish not to.

Yawn was a better pass rusher no question about it. And yes, overall Allen is better.

Allen is nothing special and he will want over $20 million per year, screw that, he can walk (just like Taylor, someone is gonna be dumb enough to pay him that). Funny how he is having his best season the year his contract ends (again, just like Taylor). And let's not forget the Falcons O-line is a joke this season.

Ok. So, goes back to my final point. Who are you replacing him with and where is the production coming from?

At this time. We do not have anybody as good as him on the roster, and, are we going to try and backfill his role yet again with a top pick in next year's draft in April?

When we clearly have issues on the offensive line?
