Is he really that important? does he really make a difference in important games? No, not really. I rather spend that money on the O-line. 

If we had a competent GM he could find a replacement in the draft.
Like someone said (maybe it was you), go after/trade for D. Hunter.

He made a huge difference in the only 2 wins this year. Without those 6 sacks we don't win potentially. You're really playing with fire.

Having to backfill two, three positions on the offensive line next year. Waiting out the Ridley situation. Losing Jenkins maybe at safety.

A ton of extensions to consider with Little, Cisco and Campbell. I just think you have to be mindful of how dangerously close this roster is to completely imploding already.

You're going to want at least one guaranteed rusher that shows up on the stat sheet. A veteran presence. Unless Walker starts teeing off over the next 13 games, Abdullah starts making splashes and Smoot comes back ready to go you have to consider tagging and extending Allen.

Worst case? You trade him with the tag.
