I'd also like to add that most children who start fights/bully other children in school and grow up to be violent had a childhood where they were physically abused, you're not just affecting your own child/Children but potentially a lot of others depending on how bad it is. Your child looks up to you for what is right or wrong and when you hit them you're implanting it into their mind that that's how you handle somebody when they don't do what you want. The only situation I would ever spank a child is if they did something extremely bad, I don't think swatting at a camera qualifies as extremely bad behavior, the Dad shouldn't be torturing his kid like that to begin with.
