I listened to an interview yesterday and this fellow gave some interesting insight as to what prompted this attack by Hamas. I want to share the video but the channel itself is run by Messianic Jewish brothers and other videos do talk about religious things that we're not supposed to discuss here, but this is not so much about the religious nature of what's happening as it is the political. I'm not versed at all in geopolitics and would have to commit time to taking notes to share here and I don't have time being as we're preparing to go on vacation. 

The meat of it is, the attack is believed to be a deep state situation in which certain people in the Israeli government want Netanyahu out (he's been in office for 13 years) and there is a shadow government that is in place that allowed for things to happen behind the scenes and explains why Israel was caught completely off guard by the attacks. So basically this is a coup d'état. 

He talks about what happens if other specific countries join Hamas and how allies of Israel will have to respond, to include the U.S.

He says a lot of interesting things and those of you who better understand geopolitical issues may be able to suss things out and decide whether he knows his stuff or it's a bunch of fluff.
