I'm perfectly fine with admitting that Urban has an eye for talent--that's a huge part of being a college coach.  Keep in mind, though, that this dude planned to take Toney, then tried to convert Etienne to WR and signed Tebow to play TE.

Recruiting he definitely had an eye for, but it all broke down when he couldn't hold leverage over grown men who are millionaires the way he could college kids.  Great recruiter, terrible coach.

Baalke definitely had some input there, though.  Let's not pretend that he isn't also doing pretty well stockpiling talent.  His big miss is Walker, but we're not talent poor.

In respect to Toney, I think the talent is there. Injuries have been killing his career. He started his career on fire and then it became injury after injury. Thought he’d be doing better in KC but he’s playing second fiddle to Travis Kelce and there are about 12 different options to throw to. Now they brought Hardman back.

But man, if we could have had Hutchinson. Ugh. That guy is a monster.
