I do remember the Coughlin Era.  This isn't the Coughlin Era.  But I'm sorry, if you feel the sky is falling.  I get it.  The "Chicken Little" mentality for a Jaguar fan is pretty easy to fall into.  Hell, after we got smoked by the tin horns in Week 3, I thought the end was neigh.  

But bro, this IS NOT that team from 2017.  Baalke isn't a scrub.  Pederson isn't a scrub.  Yeah, Press Taylor sucks.  But he'll fail upward and eventually get a HC job just like Josh McDaniels.  And then we won't have to worry about him.

So long as we have Lawrence, and good O-Line, good WRs, and Baalke making moves in Free Agency, we'll be SB contenders.

I seem to remember either pressers announcing that Williams was the slot guy, or based on where we played him, that's where Urbz and co figured he would do best. GM signs the guys, but the coaches are responsible for setting the roster. Sometimes the visions align, other times the coach has to pull up some chicken salad recipes.

Baalke is not some mastermind, but I also don't think there are many, if any, true masters at front officing. Every GM has successess, every GM has fails. Your hope is that the successes give you an advantage and the fails don't set you back several years. So far, Baalke's in the black on that balance sheet. Let's hope he keeps it up. It could be a LOT worse.
