But your issue is that folks on the federal government payroll passed along a message of "hey, this is false" to Twitter, without mentioning the report to Trump. Now they probably didn't need to do that. Twitter staff were probably going to get to it on their own. But was it bad? These government workers had no orders from Trump about talking to Twitter or not. They probably didn't even have a direct line of communication to Trump. But you say all of this would be OK if they just told Trump what they were doing?
