The Raiders are trading for a guy who has a contract for great starter money and the Raiders aren't in a position where guys taken in the late round are unlikely to make their roster. The Gabbert trade was baffling, but makes sense from the perspective of late round picks being practically worthless with a roster like the 49ers have, but the Schaub trade makes no sense at all. They should have just waited for him to be released. |
