Warming up to the idea of taking a tackle.

Quote:If Clowney is a Texan in a few weeks, and a couple other so called premium pass rush specialists land in Indy and Nashville, you've got them covered; all tied up in a bow with Austin Pasztor?

If Austin Pasztor can do that, you just degraded Clowney and Mack and all the rest of the 2014 premium pass rush specialist models to nothing. As benign as you make them out to be under the rule of Czar Pasztor, you inadvertently point out their complete uselessness to the Jaguars as players.

Fifty sacks in 2012. Fifty sacks in 2013. Pasztor, had no impact whatsoever last year like a talented offensive tackle can. This crisis at offensive line only seems to creep up when it's time to give account for what did happen. Rather than what didn't happen.

I didn't start this thread. It appears to have been designed to slip a fast one in on Lewan.

I know I'm wasting my breath on a troll, but here goes.

Paztor is not a nobody, he is a guy who was overlooked and has now developed into a quality NFL OT. He was also only 1/5 of the line and wherever he lined up he was rock solid. Of those 50 sacks I doubt you could attribute more than 5 to him. Whoever lines up at LDE, Mack, Clowney, Watt, I would be confident that Paztor will hold his own, because he is a quality player and this does not make the man opposite him a 'nothing'.

We also had Gabbert and Henne as our QBs, no credible running threat, several of our offensive line not named Austin were and are not up to scratch and we were chasing the game practically every week.

Offensive tackle is one of the few spots on the team that we dont need to worry about. Joeckel, Paztor and Bradfield to backup will be just fine, what they need is a decent QB to block for.

Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
