All this bloviating is only to say that there is no reason that Baalke should not be able to re-sign Allen.  If I was Baalke, I'd front load 2024 so he gets paid, and then give him ample incentives to prove he's worthy of the next 3 years of the contract.  If he underperforms in 2024, we can drop him without a big cap hit, while still giving Allen an opportunity to move on if he become a Yannick type diva.

Weren't you the guy claiming Allen doesn't deserve the payday and wouldn't sniff 15 mil per?

Dude's not elite. Don't get it twisted. Remember when some of you all were wanting to give Jawaan Taylor all the monies? The "good" Josh Allen is similar. Not to say he's trash. He's a good player and a great Locker Room guy. But you don't overpay for a guy that isn't elite now and won't ever be elite.
