I’m curious about this dynamic. You say you are normally repelled by the policies of the Democrats but you chose to vote for them because of one man. Are your values always so flexible and easily abandoned? Would you begin eating food you dislike because a person you detest also eats the foods you like? 

That’s not sarcasm, I’m genuinely curious.

To be a little more accurate, there are some Democrat policies I do like.  I think we should continue to support Ukraine against Russia, and I also agree that climate change is real and we should try to do something to mitigate it.  Some things I don't like about Democrats include identity politics and affirmative action, and their irresponsibility with the federal budget.  I like some Republican policies as well, including but not limited to, much better border control, and getting the federal budget into a sustainable position.  One of the things I don't like about Republicans is they don't seem to have any spine when it comes to Trump's claim that the election was stolen.  They know it wasn't stolen, but they won't come out and say it, because they're scared.  

I've already outlined many times all the reasons I can't vote for Trump because of who he is, how he behaves, and how he thinks, so I won't re-start that conversation here.  No one ever changes their mind anyway.  This message board seems to be mostly populated by people who have nothing better to do with their lives except getting their rocks off by irritating other people.  I'm not talking about you.  But I guarantee you the common response to this post will be to call me a Rino, to claim I'm a liberal, to say liberals should be gotten rid of, because they intentionally want to destroy the country, that I am blind to reality, etc, etc etc.  Just trash talk.
