UF was a rivalry game. What's your excuse for Alabama vs Auburn? Why does Alabama get a pass on needing a miracle to beat a sorry Auburn team? Could it be because the biggest sports news network owns a majority stake in the conference? The minute Alabama won against GA, the entire ESPN network went into full salvage mode. Instead of getting 1 team in, they ended up with two, when they should have gotten zero. I'm not saying that the SEC isn't good. They are. I am saying I have grown tired if this manipulation. The new playoffs will resolve this to some level, but the simple fact is that it's football. You play to win games. GA dropped the ball. Alabama dropped the ball. FSU did not drop the ball. They shouldn't have been punished.

It was a money decision to keep FSU out of the playoffs. The result is a lopsided game where a legitimately good team managed to keep its starters together, and a disheartened team turned their backs on college football.

It wasn’t a money decision. Come on, dude. The problem in all this was Georgia lost. If they beat Bama, you can bet your bottom dollar FSU is in over Texas. But Bama beat Georgia, and you can’t leave a 1-loss SEC champ out when their third best win was FSU’s toughest. If you think FSU should have been over the SEC champ, then the idiot award goes to you. Now should they be in over Texas or Washington? I could maybe get on board with you a little more there. 

Committee weighed the head to head of Bama-Texas too much and felt like they couldn’t leave Texas out. Yet as an ND fan, I remember 1993 when ND beat FSU and finishes with same record as FSU yet they gave title to FSU fml.
