The simple fact is that the SEC has a majority stake owned by the largest and most influential sports network. They are a good conference. Full stop. GA dropped the ball. Alabama dropped the ball. Just like in the NFL, when teams drop the ball, they don't play. Unfortunately, college football doesn't have that integrity. The committee overstepped its authority, which resulted in an FSU team that didn't bring 29 of its players choosing not to show up.

29 players missing. In a game of 11 vs 11. FSU didn't have their 2 starting RBs, their 2nd string QB, their starting WRs, their starting TE, 3 starting d linemen, 2 starting linebackers and three of their starting DBs. They had to start their third string, freshman QB. That's the story. You have zero idea of team strength for this reason. The Orange Bowl offers zero justification for the playoff snub, and anyone on here pointing to it as evidence for the committee's decision is a moron.

The president of FSU should have had the balls to make a statement by just not going, but we took our second and third stringers to a slaughter for money. They embarrassed themselves. The lead across the nation is the blowout, and all the corruption is forgotten. I don't know why anyone would support this trash. We live in a nation of geniuses. /sarcasm

Alabama struggled with Auburn, yes. FSU also barely beat Boston friggin' College. I think they almost lost to Miami team, too, and were outplayed by Clemson and struggled with some other really average to below-average teams. And some of those games were with Travis. But again, the ACC was HORRIBLE this year. They were the worst power 5 conference in football. If you take FSU out of the equation, the Mountain West or American Conference was arguably better.

I don't give a crap about stakeholders or conference money or any of that garbage. The SEC is the best conference in college football for a reason. They've won like 12 of the last 15 national championships or something like that. If they're biased towards that conference, they have a damn good reason to be. So if you're going to tell me FSU should be in the playoff, that's fine. But please don't cry and say they should be in over Alabama or Georgia because that's almost as dumb as an argument as those saying that Liberty should be in the Final 4. Over Texas? I can maybe agree with that.

As for yesterday's game, it is what it is. I think Georgia would have beat them down even if they had all their starters in minus Travis, but that's just based on what I've seen this year from the two teams. Georgia, IMO, is the best team in the country when they are full strength. They prolly beat Bama 7 out of 10 times. And we could go round and round on that convo and it will get nowhere. Obviously, FSU homers are going to say otherwise, so whatever. But in my opinion, the best 4 teams in the country and what should have been the Final 4 are Michigan, Georgia, Bama and either Texas/Washington. If FSU has Travis, then they're probably better than Texas/Washington and are definitely in. And before you say injuries shouldn't matter, then tell that to the committee who put it in bold print that they do matter.
