Yeah, the 13 (so far) people just saying yes no question are why Daniel Jones and Watson are rich and their teams are about to be a complete mess. Cleveland is good now, but they are about to be in a cap nightmare scenario for the remainder of Watson's contract if he does not restructure.
I would rather have a QB on a rookie contract and keep the rest of the team intact/improve this team then give Trevor a market resetting contract. He has not been that good, when he has been asked to carry the team he flounders way more than he succeeds.. A team friendly, middle of the road contract? Sure, maybe a little less than Cousins signed for when he went to Minnesota. Dude is not worth 45+ mil a year AAV. |
