I don't think Trevor or his agent will be looking for a long term deal after this season.
I think they would rather negotiate a long term contract after having a better season. That said, if Trevor makes the post season and leads the Jags to an AFC championship, I think they will feel like they have the leverage to make a long term deal that will command an elite contract. Otherwise, I think they will bet on him having a better season next year and then have more leverage to get a better deal. |
