Yes, Johnny's numbers from the pocket stack up very well. However, there are graphs just like the ones posted here (which I unfortunately don't have at the moment) that we have all seen that show Manziel as one of the worst QBs in this class when pressured. 

 

So...very good stats in the pocket, but very poor stats when pressured. The only way those two stats can possibly be compatible is if the vast majority of the time that JFF was throwing from the pocket it was a very clean pocket. Considering that he had 3 top 10 pick OTs (assuming that Matthews doesn't shocking slide and Ogbuehi doesn't have a major injury) that is hardly a surprising stat. 

 

This is all to say, how much does it matter that you can put up stats in the pocket in college with superior protection if you still show that you don't have the ability to manipulate the pocket effectively when the pressure does happen to come? I say the stats don't mean a whole lot when the context of those stats show there is an awfully good chance that they are lying.
