No prosecutor anywhere in the US ever has any obligation to release confidential and private information that they may discover. They only have to pursue and eventually release the information if it is evidence of a crime. And even then they can ask a judge to withhold parts that are deemed minimally relevant to that crime and too personal. Discretion is part of the job.
