Is Lamar the new Peyton?

Lamar Jackson can't hold Peyton's jock. He sucks at reading defenses and his downfield accuracy is suspect. His stats are some of the worst for an MVP in the modern era. He chokes in big moments.
If Houston was a better football team, with the first half he played last week they'd have been eliminated then. All the talk was about how Monken's offense was going to let Lamar light the league on fire as a passer and how great he was going to be with better weapons. Now they should've run the ball more and the playmakers let him down? Don't think they were the ones running backwards 15 yards in the face of pressure and throwing into triple coverage. The Lamar narrative is garbage. |
