Why? He’s still under contract and we have a 5th year option.

Without knowing the exact QB market numbers off the top of my dome right now. I'd rather extend him now around the 10-15 mark for QBs, rather than allow him to potentially have a career year and then have to make him the highest paid QB in the league.
