Trevor obviously expect to have the highest salary in the league after signing. That's fair and to bexpected by a decent starting QB. To go back to my previous comment that I am unsure if Baalke is offering him that. In that view it would be the team that is unwilling, to give him that contract. I'm sure that Trevor is willing to discuss certain aspects of the contract for flexibility reasons etc but in the end I'm confident he won't sign anything that doesn't make him the hightest paid player in the league.

That also means that if he isn't signed latest early in the 2024 season then I would have to assume that the team isn't that confident about him, regardless of what they may say in public.
