If I'm Trevor, I'm not in a hurry to negotiate coming off of last year if the team thinks they're getting some big discount because of it. You either pay me top 5 money now and we'll revisit in 2 years when I'm outperforming what will then be a top 10 deal or we wait a year and I reset the market next offseason. That would be my mentality if I were him or his agent.
