He's been a good Bulldog with very limited playing time. I don't think he's elite by any means because I just haven't seen enough out of him but he's a good starting caliber RT at the next level at the bare minimum.

He's a whopper (not a sloppy whopper, the kid can move) at 6'7, 340 pounds. Better in pass protection Vs. run blocking but I would be hesitant to play him anywhere else right away due to his inexperience and age. 

If he was selected with the 17th pick I would be under the assumption that the following decisions have been made in March:

1. Cam Robinson is cut.
2. Anton Harrison is moving to LT.

I just can't see Mims as a LT right away at the next level in pass protection. He has a tendency due to his size and height to play a little too high and you can get away with that in college, but, against premier edge rushers? Leverage is king.

That's something he has to work on. He has the athletic ability to pull it off. I just wouldn't expect much out of him right away that makes you go "Oh, wow!" during his rookie season. It'll be a bit of a process with him and it's more of an upside with trusting your intuition and coaching staff with him to develop.

His low end potential would be a slightly bigger and better version of Bryan Bulaga if he can stay healthy unlike Bulaga did for the Packers. His high end potential as a RT is pretty good though, potentially elite if he can get his technique down. I would say he's on par with Ryan Ramczyk.
