These things would be non issues now. And its not like that stuff is illegal its just against NCAA regulations. Get rid of that and college athletics will thrive more than it ever has.

 

I know Jay Bilas argues for kids being able to kid paid outside of school.  And bristles at the idea that you couldnt regulate some kid getting paid a million dollars to mow somebodys yard.  Although I dont see how you could regulate against T Boone Pickens from paying each member of OSU's recruiting class 100k to put their likeness on a billboard promoting T Boone Oil and Gas.  And I dont even know that you should regulate it.

 

If you just made an opening bidding war, then sure the schools with the richest boosters would probably get the best athletes.  But that doesnt really seem to be any different than what we have now.
