The only similarity I see at all is that Branch was good at fooling DBs about where the route was going - just like Ridley is. They both get DBs to bite the wrong way.  They look really different doing it though.

Plus -Branch did most of his best work from the slot. 
Ridley is naturally a Z receiver forced to play X for the Jags.

 

You’re missing my point, obviously they are different, but in terms of stage in career and impact to the team. An energy thing. 

 I don’t ever see Ridley being a true #1, but being a reliable target - savvy veteran moves and intelligence. But he’s not diving for balls or making insane one handed catches. He can’t single handedly dominate games like Chase or JJ. And that’s FINE, I rather us go after T. Hig cuz he’s younger but I’d be ok with Ridley back. 
Still think WR in rd1 is the way to go.
