The Pro Day: what purpose does it really serve?
|
Seems like its just something to do.
For QBs the Combine and Pro Days don't really serve much of a purpose other than collecting measureables. The Pro Day, is probably more worthless. Scripted throwing drills with no pads, and no real or simulated pass rush. Maybe they should do that drill they do in Madden with the tennis balls..... Combine and Proday in the grand scheme of things mean next to nothing. When have they ever been reliable predictors of success? Game film breakdown might be the only true indicator of the potential of a QB, and even then drafting a QB is still mostly a crapshoot. |
