Much more complicated than that.  Venezuela is beset by political gangs that threaten to murder anyone who ever supported one of the rival politicians.   The people who are leaving are capitalists, businessmen, engineers, scientists.  It is possible that Venezuela is becoming less violent, but more likely that the numbers are getting cooked.

I have absolutely no idea what you're smoking but it must be some real powerful stuff....... Dream On man, Dream On...........
