I think needing a corner is an assumption, the guys we had last year were fine and we have 5 guys in their third year or less on the roster. Campbell, Williams, and Herndon (who signs for 1 year every March it seems) are, at worst, bringing back the same starters as last year. The issue here is how the new DC evaluates them in the scheme he wants to run. We might need to replace all of them, but I don't think that will be the case.

Needing a WR is also an assumption based on the unknown status of Ridley and Zay. Washington played well in his limited time last year and looks like a promising #3 going into this year. The issue would be if we don't resign Ridley and cut Zay. Then we have to find a 1 or 2 based on how we want to use Kirk next year. If we bring back Ridley then you have room to add a guy in the draft or cheap end of free agency like a K.J. Osborn who would fit right in the bottom half of the group with Parker and Cooks.

The guard questions are do we bring back Cleveland (yes) and bring back Sherff (no). We should be drafting IOL anyway, but getting an affordable starter in free agency won't be a challenge as there are about 6 in this free agent class who would work.

The only real needs I see are Center and DT, and both those can be fixed in two weeks if we really don't want to wait until April.

This roster isn't that far off; those two glaring holes are foundational to everything else, so the weakness we had last year disrupted everything else in the process.

Montaric Brown did an admirable job of filling in for Tyson Campbell. He doesn’t have the range of Campbell, but in the red zone he held his own pretty well.
