Playing devils advocate: they learned from their mistake trading AJ away and are trying to rectify it with calvin. Not saying calvin is as good as AJ Brown, he clearly isnt.

Correct. This is an admission of failure. However, to be fair, both of these decisions were made by two completely different General Managers. Ran Carthon took over the General Manager role in Jan. of 2023. AJ Brown was traded the year prior under Jon Robinson's tenure.

The only common denominator is ownership here. Amy Adams Strunk allowed a lot of this to take place. They're in a rebuilding phase. They believe they have their QB of the future in Will Levis. They have to try and give the kid a chance so Ridley was their best option.

I still think, however, firing Mike Vrabel was a grave mistake. Also, they still have DeAndre Hopkins for one more year, and, he wasn't ALL that bad last year. They can also choose to draft one of the top receivers available next month. I wouldn't sleep on this football team at all.

Could easily be the 2023 clots in our division for the year 2024, pushing their play-off hopes alive all the way through the final whistle of week 18. Also, lawd have mercy if they [BLEEP] around and end up drafting Brock Bowers. I am telling you now. Bowers in this division with Levis' ability to scramble, break tackles and chuck it does not bode well for this division in the long run.
