Teams don't go into a draft and say: "Hey, we have 5 starters on the OL that we feel comfortable going with for 2024, so we are not going to draft an OL in the first round."
No, they look at the chance to make their team closer to elite in adding elite talent in the draft. You want a talented and DEEP OL. 3 of those 5 "starters" could get hurt in camp. "Needs" can change from April to September. Ideally you want 9 or 10 OL that you feel comfortable with getting significant snaps for the offense. |
