On another note, it's hard to believe some people don't actually know there are 4 people on Mt. Rushmore.

Millions of Americans don't know the capital of their state. 
Nothing surprises me anymore with the lack of general knowledge.

(for my part - my post noted an unwillingness to rank them - thusly making my list longer than the# of figures in the monument) 

I also meant to list MJD in my post but forgot.
He has become pretty synonymous with the franchise and made one heck of an impression upon the fanbase. 
If the four chosen for the monument were meant to be the 4 most significant presidents up to that time, then at THIS time - MJD would indeed need to be considered.
