Inflation - Grocery Shopping
|
We grow many of our fruits and vegetables as well as spices here on our farm. Excess is usually sold, given away or donated.
We get most of our meats from a couple of local farms and have it butchered at a local place. It's way less expensive and healthier than anything purchased in a store. We also get fresh raw milk from a dairy farm and make our own butter, cheese, ice cream and a few other things with the cream. We have an unlimited supply of eggs and often have to give some away to friends and neighbors. Our "store bought" groceries we get from Kroger and have it delivered. Prices are usually less expensive than other stores and since it's delivered we don't have to make the trip to town. We also earn "fuel points" which gives us a discount on gas. I recently filled up my truck with a 36 gallon fuel tank with $1.00 off of the price on the pump. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
