Nobody is denying he's good. I clearly stated that I believe in the kid. He's just a little wild and reckless with the football at times, hence, the "Sunshine Brett Favre" nickname I gave him last year or the year before. 

He's got an arm, man, it's obvious. He's got a gunslinger mentality. That too, is obvious. The turnovers are there though, it's lingered for the past few years. He reminds me a lot of a young Brett Favre when I was a kid growing up in the 90's. He's gritty, playing against the Saints with a knee brace with barely three days to prepare for it, and running his [BLEEP] off to boot in that one. 

He'll make throws that make you do a double take, he'll win more games than he'll lose, but, when we do lose games? Sometimes it's ugly and sometimes it's chiefly on him for doing things with the football that didn't make much sense. For example, the fumbling of the football with nobody around him against the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. 

Look, I LOVE THE KID. I really do. I BELIEVE IN THE KID. I really do. I just feel, if we're going to get over this "Barely over the .500 hump"? He has to eliminate just a little bit more of his mistakes. Not saying to change his game completely, nor crucify him or burn him at the stake for EVERY turnover he makes. 

It just means that if he cleans up this decision here, or speeds up this decision here, something I didn't bring up, situational awareness, leaving points on the field inside in the 10 yard line going into halftime situations, etc. 

That's what will elevate the team more. Being himself, while just eliminating his mistakes a little bit and making better decisions with the football. That all comes with time in the NFL and maturing. Which I have FULL CONFIDENCE, that, he will.

You know what would get over this hump? Not dropping TDs that hit the receiver in the hands, or not dragging that foot and ending up out of bounds on a dime throw. Not giving up multiple TDs to David [BLEEP] Njoku. Not being up 28-14 on the bengals and losing the lead. Not having 3rd and 1 and failing to convert 15 times in the second half of the season. It's dumb to focus on what Lawrence does wrong when everything he does right is in SPITE of the players around him.

It's not dumb, it's analytics, it's also common sense. It's a team sport. That includes him as well. I also shared the clip this morning in this thread with the near missed TD's that were dropped. Again, I get all of that. 

It still circles back to ball security and overall attempts. Did Ridley deserve heat for his drops last year? Absolutely. Was Jones the same guy last year in 2023 that we saw from 2022? Absolutely not. 

The problem, is that, again, when you look at the overall production, the handling of the football, who is getting it more than anybody else? It's not rocket science. It's common sense. 

We'll sit there and destroy every aspect of this football team verbally and in writing while also ignoring other critical information. For every incompletion Lawrence threw? How many receivers did he miss that were wide open that could have kept the drive alive? 

For every attempt we would get mad at Pederson for going for it on 4th down? How many times did we shake our fists in anger for Lawrence trying to go rogue with his running game? Or not get the snap off in time? Or not make the right read and make the right throw?

Look, this is the big boy league and the QB is considered the BMOC. He has to start carrying that aura and ability over more frequently on a week-to-week basis. And, once again, and I'll say it louder for the people in the back. 

I LIKE LAWRENCE! I BELIEVE IN LAWRENCE! HE WILL BE GREAT, IN MY OPINION, BEGINNING IN 2024. 

It just starts with him at the end of the day and it's going to end with him at the end of the day. Be better more times than not. Play mistake free football more times than not. Make better decisions when situational awareness is crucial more times than not. There's plenty of other games we can look at and pin the blame on this guy or that guy. 

My point is that, Lawrence had his fair share.
