I don't love the governor overruling local voters about the discretion a prosecutor has, even though I voted for Ron and I did not vote for Monique.
Ron should be doing what Rick Scott did. Prosecutors are allowed to cross district and county lines. One of the elected prosecutors from another area that is more in line with Ron should be taking over the controversial cases from the prosecutors that want to buck Ron.
Meanwhile the prosecutor that my neighbors elected should continue prosecuting the non-controversial cases.

Also, of course Ron got his way at the Florida Supreme Court. He appointed so many of them. It reminds me of when some people opposed the Iraq war, and the people who were for it said back in early 2003, "look how quickly we got to Baghdad. Look how they ran away. It was the right decision." No one doubted that the US would quickly defeat Iraq's military. The question was, *should* the US defeat Iraq's military. Similarly, the question here is *should* DeSantis be using his power this way.
