I've echoed this sentiment myself, but the fact that the beat guys all seem to think he looks like the real deal in these practices is encouraging. I'm slowly shifting away from my skepticism over his praise. A little bit anyway. 

I'm certainly not penciling him in anywhere, but if we end up with a quality back-up guard by way of a 7th round pick, I'll be quite happy. 
If he's more than that, we hit the jackpot.

Good discussion. I have been on both sides of this, mainly due to the performance of our line last year. I know during practice he had been showing out last year, which is a plus. The negative is it was against our interior D-line guys who during the season proved to not be elite to say the least. So, right now I have a large question mark by his name. I do like the story of a local guy making good, but stories don't block people. There is hope, but that has proved not to be a good plan. We will see....
