Some clown who hasn't watched the games and as a result doesn't understand the relevance of 2022 stats compared to the other years.

Let me spell it out for those slow on the uptake:

2022 was the only year he had a subpar but just functional enough O-Line that allowed a run game to compliment a sensical passing attack - and even if he had the second lowest pocket time in the league to work from that year - that was enough for Doug's mesh concept playbook to operate with some functionality as well.

2023 was a dysfunctional wreck from the front five so those of us with brains and even the most minimal experience watching football understand it affected his performance negatively. 

If you're trying to use 2021 to pick on the QB here, you're just a douche-nozzle.

Okay, okay...let's talk about 2022, Lawrence was the 5th highest QB in the league in turnovers, despite having his best performance so far with 25 TDs and only 8 INTs.  He lost 9 fumbles, that's 4 more than any other QB in the league.  And before you jump back to "Turnovers don't eqaul INTs": in the Jags miraculous playoff comeback, which I give Trevor tons of credit for, he threw 3 INTs in the first half and added another one in the second...which is pretty strange for "the toughest QB in the conference to pick off."

So to sum up, your point is:

2021 - Outlier
2022 - Counts if you only consider INTs but not fumbles, but the playoffs were an Outlier
2023 - Outlier
2024 - The Head Coach's recent statement about Trevor having to reduce turnovers: Outlier

How we turn the ball over, where we turn the ball over, it doesn’t matter. We’ve got to protect the football. That’s the No. 1 thing. And here's the craziest thing, the last time we had a similar 'discussion' you got on me because I called Trevor elite where you preferred could be elite.

These two phrases are worlds apart in the current context

I also stated "I'm hoping that Lawrence has a reasonable OL, WR, run game, and health through the 2024-25 season so that his (yearly) statistical stats match up with his performance." The QB has to have consistency for the team to be considered in the upper tier of NFL franchises.


Finally for all of the "You're a Troll" happy posters, I've been here since 2006.  Expressing thought out opinions doesn't make someone a troll (or a clown/douche-nozzle^), even if you disagree.  If you're into that sort of thing check out /r/jaguars on reddit and downvote anything that indicates that Trevor still has some work to do before being considered a top 5 NFL QB.
