Part of the reason why a lot of RB aren't making big bucks is that they are fairly easy to replace. Not saying that Etienne is a commonplace RB, but in two years if we run his legs off or he gets one wrong hit low we may be looking at a much different Etienne then we are today.

With his position (not him, necessarily), you wait until the eleventh hour to do the deals.

The Franchise tag for RBs in 2025 is going to be right at $13 million, if they really want him then just tag him until they don't; it's not cost prohibitive to do so. Of course I'm in the Use 'em and Lose 'em camp anyway, just grab a guy from the back half of the draft or UDFA to replace him.
