Do you believe Brian Thomas Jr will be an upgrade over Ridley?

#72

I don't figure he'll be an upgrade from a pure production standpoint. Over a thousand yards is a tall order for a rookie, but he might be able to have more impact on the games, nonetheless.

Ridley was a good receiver, but not a high impact guy. Defenses weren't worried about him pulling an athletic play that got him the win even though coverage was perfect. BTJ might be able to do that sort of thing on occasion, which would be great, because the Jaguars haven't had a guy that wins down the field against good coverage since Allen Robinson.

For what it's worth BTJ doesn't appear to be a high point the ball kind of guy, but he has great size and speed and seems to track the ball well. I expect he'll cause the defense to spread out more, helping the whole team, while probably only having rookie-like numbers (6-700 yards and 5-6 TDs).
