What is your take on the show the View?  Do you believe it is a honest balance show with intelligence?  Just want to know what level of liberal we are dealing with here. I got to ask, What will old Joe Biden accomplish in another 4 years?  There is no sign that things are improving for the average  American citizen.  You do believe Trump is an idiot. What is Joe Biden's plan to get the country right again?  Is it sending more Billions to Ukraine and letting another 12 million immigrants invade this country?

I don't watch TV news, except maybe once a month my wife tunes into the 6:30 news on ABC.  None of us watch CNN, Fox, MSNBC, The View, any of it.  The ladies on The View might have intelligent conversation or it might all be gossip and mudslinging and nonsense.  I don't know because I don't watch.  

I read articles at many websites.  I'll try any website once.  They all make mistakes, but the good ones correct their mistakes.  I avoid opinion pieces.  I read and listen to speeches from certain politicians but without the commentary.  

Read Project 2025 for yourself.  A lot of it is about how the President can defeat the "deep state".  And most Trump speeches this year have included the line "we will demolish the deep state".  I'm not saying these guys are "in with Trump" but a lot of what they are saying is the same.

The country has many problems and Biden and the DNC have literally zero plan to solve any of them during a potential second term.  The infrastructure bill is mostly helpful but there's nothing of that scale likely to happen in a second Biden term or a Harris term either.

But Trump is intent on turning old problems into new, worse problems.  He will take the inflation we have today and drive it even higher while he tries to "fix" it.

Gun control is more similar because the constitution mentions it.  The supreme Court has ruled that there are some limits to your right to have guns.  It would be in bounds for a candidate to say they want to eliminate gun control laws. It would be in bounds for a candidate to say they want to pass new gun control laws through Congress and see if the courts uphold them.  But it would not be in bounds to say, "elect me and I'll take everyone's guns away" as if that power is vested in the President in the first place.  It's not.  See the difference?

The voters have a funny way of deciding for themselves what is in, or out, of bounds.  Or is that just another right you would like to see taken away?

Letting voters directly decide matters of constitutional law through their election of a specific President defeats the purpose of having a constitution and is literally and exactly the type of despotic direct democracy that the founders feared.
