Kids were separated, sent to different cities, even when there were better options, and it was done to demonstrate cruelty.

You and L2L are both smarter than me.  Bunnie probably is too.  I happen to know things you don't, but that's not important.  

The big difference is my ethics say "play by the rules you want your opponent to play by" while yours say "make sure you hit him hard first, then you won't have to care what rules he plays by.". My ethic is compatible with multi-party democracy.  Yours is not.

You are welcome to your opinion and up to now everything has been cool. Discussions of opinions is how we work through issues. I do not agree you are the ultimate judge of the bold statement above. I am an independent. My family for years were active register democrats. About 5-10 years ago they left the party.  The reason was you were expected to follow the party line or were chastised much like you have been attempting here. Many of the discussions just run in  circles as there was no other truth but their truth. This is my main issue with the Democrats. I am not saying this as a negative but more an indication of how some things come across. I welcome alternative ideas, but those based on all the facts and situations.

I was only judging FSG with the comment about ethics.  I don't think it's true of you.  I don't think it's true of L2L either.

My parents are both lifelong Democrats. They've gotten harder to talk to about politics as the years go on. I also have a grandfather who has been a Republican since the 70s and loves Trump. It's gotten harder to talk to him about politics too. We all want to chastise each other.
