Whichever one winds up being Vice-President will probably wind up being President.  There's a very good chance neither Trump nor Biden survive another 4 years as President.  I'm not talking about assassination; I'm talking about natural causes.  They are old.

Not just subsidies, tariffs also.
Note that Biden has given EV manufacturers the subsidies and tariffs they want as well.

So Elon's preference is probably due to something else.  

I would guess he thinks there's going to be another round of tax cuts for corporations and investors, along with a reduction in IRS auditing, if Trump wins.
