I was watching the nightly news, and it was just a brief, "Trump is at a rally, here's our reporter..." one minute on-scene live report.  Until he got shot, then of course they cancelled all the other news and went back to the rally for extended coverage.  But the fact that the MSM was there wasn't unusual.  They were starting to focus in because the Republican Convention was about to start in the next few days.
