Not at the same level of conspiracy theories that you are but it is damn sure plausible.  We have seen it in the past.

While a nice theory, I humbly submit it is not needed.  We have the best hackers in the world, all something like that would do is attract unwanted attention.  Like the BS of his 3 reported encrypted offshore accounts.  Bleh, they will crack them and clean/plant what they want and go unnoticed. Then the proper authorities will give them access officially and uncover what they know is there.
